Meet Hannah Wentland from Mobile, Alabama…an indoor player who fell in love with the beach game and is busy creating her own opportunities to play. One of the best things about beach volleyball is the community that comes together to encourage each other and make the tricky logistics happen for players that are living the beach volleyball dream on a shoestring budget. Hannah didn’t learn the beach game on the collegiate level but rather was encouraged to grow, have fun, and get better by athletes who came before her. She knows, and is here to encourage others, that if you find something you love to do, go after it with all that you’ve got because the journey is worth it and you’ll never regret it if you leave no stone of curiosity unturned. This girl is living the life…traveling the country to play, living out of her car, and always has a smile on her face. I understand why the photographer I worked with in Louisiana said I had to meet her. She radiates positivity and optimism and hopes to be the player and person that lifts others around her to accomplish their goals while she is pursuing her own…always a winning combination.
