Business & Impact Theory with surprise guest

Tom Bilyeu, co-founder and host of Impact Theory, knows all about making an impact by sharing stories. Wendy chats with him about what he believes is most important in building a thriving business that connects to the hearts and minds of others.

Tom Bilyeu, the co-founder and host of Impact Theory, knows all about the importance of making your mark on this world. We discuss how making an impact involves being deeply passionate about what you’re doing before expecting others to be interested. If your heart is in the right place, and you truly want to help others, you’ve got a strong start. On the other side of that, if you have all the heart in the world but there is not a need or desire for what you’re offering, you’ll have trouble reaching people with your message. It takes a certain set of skills to know what people want and need, and to be able to communicate your passion on a large scale. Our talk gets briefly interrupted (in the best way possible) by a surprise guest, the amazing Kerri Walsh Jennings. We chat and catch up for just a moment, but it’s perfectly fitting that someone who had such a profound impact in my life happened to walk in during this chat. The way she carries herself and navigates life’s craziness while still managing to reach out and be there for friends in need has inspired me endlessly. She embodies the challenge of reaching people on a large scale while still connecting on a personal level.
