Quote: Be honest. Vulnerability connects us, lean into it.
It seems for a long time, we form patterns in our lives to conform to the world around us, to be liked, needed, or even loved. When it’s happening, it doesn’t feel like a sell out, but if we don’t have the courage to check in with ourselves and our feelings, emotions, and goals, we can get off course. I can feel it in a room now, if the connection is deep or surface level and I understand that not everyone is entitled to every story of my life. But, when we are brave enough to understand who we are, both the strengths and the struggles, and share that with other people, we cultivate deep relationships, it’s so rewarding. At this point in my life, that is the only kind of connection I want, deep and real, not afraid to fail. Build trust in yourself, be honest about the joy and the pain in life, and then we find the people who help support and complete that circle.
Daily Action: Is there an area of your life you struggle and find yourself burying rather than confronting? Whether it’s finances, food, relationships or something else, bring it into the light, share it, it’s size and scope in your life will shrink.
Daily Reframe: Vulnerability increases connection with the right people.
With Optimism,
