Quote: Give the next generation the gift of your own self awareness
Starting 20 years ago and over a seven year span, I was blessed with four beautiful children. As I went through those formative years, I put my heart and soul into raising good humans. 2My goal with these four little lives wasn’t to turn them into scholars or athletes or some version of perfect that I wanted them to be. I had found my calling because these little people had my heart and I felt so lucky to be able to teach them my secrets of life, before I had the courage to talk about what I thought to the world. I wanted to teach them to have confidence at an age much earlier than I had established my own. Confidence is interesting, it can show up in certain settings, come and go with circumstances, and definitely disappear at the most inopportune times. And although I have lacked it in some places, I felt it from day one as a mom. Our perspectives are built on our exposure. We repeat or break generational patterns based on what we have the courage to say no or yes to. It’s not fun to be the heavy, but it’s my job. And, when we act on our convictions, it builds confidence. Don’t let what you believe in be a question to others, it’s not arrogant, it’s integrity.
Daily Action: Identify an area of your life where you need to line up your conviction and your action and execute.
Daily Reframe: We are meant to step out of our comfort zone to build our confidence and become our best.
With Optimism,
Wendy
