“Freedom and vulnerability provide an unparalleled path for growth...say what’s on your mind.” (p.205)

We are living in a time where it feels scary to speak for fear of offending or not being understood.  There are so many platforms to amplify our voices, and that opens us up to a larger field of opinions and mindsets that may take offense to what we have to say. It can be challenging to communicate to a world with so many points of view on what is on our heart and mind. There is a fine line between listening and learning with humility, and having the confidence to speak our own truth but the beauty of every word lies with its intention. Judge your own wisely, but don’t let the fear of being misunderstood silence your voice. I coach myself on this daily.  Do you have a message for someone out there?  If your words can help even one person, they must be spoken to continue on your own authentic path. They don’t have to be for everyone to make positive change. I grew up in a home with a strong belief system, but it was never expected that others had to believe what I was taught to be valuable or included in the conversation. By listening, learning and having my own life experiences, my views and beliefs have evolved over time to make my perspective unique.  I hope my children feel this same freedom to develop into the people they are meant to be.  The challenge lies in letting the world see our changes of heart and point of view...it’s in this uncomfortable place that we grow and make our own impact.  This country was founded on our ability to freely express our own thoughts and opinions, but our human nature connects us as we long for the connection that is the desire of every human being.   If our ears are open to hear others, we belong in the conversation, don’t be afraid to speak.

Daily Action: Email me or DM me on Instagram. What is the hardest thing about speaking what is on your mind?

Daily Reframe: Each of our stories is as vital to the world as it is to our own journey. We never know who we will impact if we don’t have the courage to speak up.

With Optimism,

Wendy
